Power Sweeping:
The latest innovation in chimney cleaning, a rotating head is passed the full length of the flue. This method has proven to be particularly useful for the removal of tar and creosote build up.
Cowl installation:
Some chimneys require a cowl to be fitted whether to prevent a downdraught, or to prevent bird entry. In cases where cowls are fitted that are not suitable for the fuel being burnt it is important to remove the cowl and replace it with one that is suitable.

Occasionally birds can nest within the chimney flue. It is important to have the nest removed before relighting the fire or stove as it will act as a blockage. Abel Sweeps have various tools that can be utilised to remove nest material.
